The Junior League of San Francisco’s charity fashion show at the iconic Fairmont hotel, utilized both the Grand Ballroom and the historic Penthouse. Thirteen-hundred guests attended eight events held over a twenty-four hour period. Renowned San Francisco clothier, Wilkes Bashford, supplied the latest fashions from designers including Oscar de la Renta and Victoria Beckham.
The event’s theme was Schiaparelli pink in post-war Paris. To achieve this, we incorporated gold, black, white, and pink details throughout. For daytime events, we chose a decadent pink embroidered linen, gold chargers, and gold napkins, offset with a vibrant pink menu. As day turned to night, we flipped the space and switched out the pink linens for black sequins. Glittering gold chargers, pink silk napkins and a striking black menu tied this look together.
We used a Schiaparelli pink walkway to guide attendees into the ballroom. As the fashion show came to a close, a band performed in bright pink tuxedos. The finishing touch was a bold tiered cake featuring intricate black and white lace work, with pink blooms cascading down its center.
